Rustic Minnesota Engagement | Theodore Wirth Park
Once Spring arrives, the chance for renewal come to the fore, with the beauty of the spirit ready to be expressed with gentle affection. These moments can be as simple as a walk in the park, or a piggyback ride through the forest trails. Allie and Brad's affection for each other finds it's expression in simple moments of play, something which was obviously on display during their wonderful engagement shoot. This Theodore Wirth Park engagement session was filled with embraces and good cheer, I could see a couple tremendously excited for the journey before them, and their upcoming Autumn wedding, where they plan to share their love amongst hundreds of friends and family members.
One of the best things about Theodore Wirth Park is it's wealth of diverse backdrops, which are perfect for any engagement session and remain varied throughout the year. Here below Brad gave Allie an impromptu piggyback ride across a steep slope while mountain bikers whizzed past.
Finishing up near the water as the sun set was a great moment of pause after a busy session. The smoldering orange hues shining upon the water looked especially stunning.
All in all, this was a session filled with good cheer and great moments. More and more as a photographer I am striving to capture moments that are aesthetically sound and palpably authentic. After reading Ginny Au's excellent course on Process-Driven Design, I am committed to finding and experimenting with new and better ways on working with couples and helping them open up and feel comfortable in front of the camera. With a focus on that process, the results can be all the more rewarding.
