The Woman's Club of Minneapolis Wedding | Loring Park Wedding Photographer
In every good pairing there is a fine blend of opposites and complements. Sometimes you'll find sweet and salty, serious and comic, driven and casual. That mix of differences and similarities is what makes any relationship vital and true. The day of J.W. and Leslie's wedding at The Woman's Club of Minneapolis seemed to mirror such balances. There was a rainy morning, then a clear afternoon where the sun broke through. There were comic personalities and laid back personalities, serious guests and cerebral guests at this Woman's Club of Minneapolis wedding. As a Loring Park wedding photographer, I love shooting at this venue - which is only blocks away from where I live. All in all, at the end of the day, as toasts were exchanged warmly amongst family & friends, there was the added sense of joy and relief that I see in so many couples - "We made it through! - and as they hit the dance floor, you could see the excitement in their eyes as they embark on a wonderful future together.
This shot above was the first time I got to take these shots of the veil over the bide. Adding a distinct softness to the frame, I love how the veil looks like water. Flowing materials always look good in wedding photos.
The Woman's Club of Minneapolis has beautiful arches on it's ground level facing Loring Park. To me, these arches are reminiscent of an Italian villa and they are the perfect place for bride & groom portraits. As a Loring Park wedding photographer, it's pretty amazing to have such a beautiful venue right down the street from where I live.
A palette of white worked perfectly at this wedding, with lush pink and deep ivy green accents. I worked on playing with these tones and I particularly liked the shots where there was a variety of ethereal white tones, much like you see above.
